Shello Bay is the second village in Postknight, presented as a sea-side town hoisted above the surrounding ocean by elevated platforms that serve as foundation for the housing and as a pathway. It is unlocked after completing Pompon and must be completed to proceed to Griffondell.
Overview[]
Shello Bay is unique to Postknight's color pallet of greens in lush, open landscapes by trading its scenery for a very open and scenic view of the ocean, accompanied by the use of light blues and islands that dot the background. This is further reflected on the inhabitants, whose roofs all use a palm-like brush that is commonly associated with housing in tropical areas.
Shello Bay notably does not have a proper love interest associated to it. Dahlia is present for a majority of the player's visit and is found at the first house during that time, but leaves to Caldemount permanently after the player completes Shello Bay's routes and heads off to Griffondell. Other than that, the Leader, Blacksmith, Alchemist and Trader are all located at the first, second, third and fourth houses respectively.
Story[]
Shello Bay begins with rumors of creatures that steal Postknights' bags, as the player soon discovers that a close colleague from Postknight Academy has lost his bags. This character is named Tedric; he will periodically appear throughout the player's adventure, and makes his debut here. After traveling some more, there is the introduction of Dahlia, the temporary love interest of Shello Bay that frequently gets lost and explains to the player how a recent shipment of wine has been stolen, to her dismay.
After consulting locals on who could be stealing these items, Dahlia is shown to be missing and will be absent from the village section. It now depends on the player to try and find her against an increasingly aggressive and prolific Pirate group.
After defeating the boss, Dahlia will leave Shello Bay and go to her father in Caldemount.
Items & Content[]
When completing quests and levels of Shello Bay, the player will receive Tier II equipment. Like Pompon before it, Shello Bay does not house a unique potion to be purchased.
A large majority of the items found within Shello Bay are heavily tied to the theme of marine life, with many animals or mythological creatures closely associated with the seas being utilized as common enemies.

Defeating The Boss[]
The boss for this area, Pirate Darkbeard, is notably difficult in the early-game. He deals high amounts of damage with his cannonballs (which are impossible to dodge with his 300% accuracy) and has high defense to shrug off weak attacks. Despite being a boss, he only runs away if you are close to him when you get stunned, making it harder to get near him.
Here are some tips on how to defeat Pirate Darkbeard.
- Equip Assault Boost. It greatly increases the damage you deal, even more when Pirate Darkbeard is stunned.
- The Combat Buckler has Robustic as a perk when fully upgraded. Said perk increases damage by 10%, but due to how the damage from Assault Boost is calculated, this will improve the damage dealt by up to 16%.
- If you can tolerate the slow movement speed, wearing the full Combat Set provides an additional 15% damage boost, increasing the damage of Assault Boost by up to 43%.
- Pirate Darkbeard's third cannonball always deals 200 damage when unblocked and 50 damage when blocked, regardless of the shield equipped. This means Buffer Up would be the best shield skill to reduce the heavy damage further.
- Use the shield only when the first cannonball is about to land, which will give you just enough time to reflect the third cannonball and stun Pirate Darkbeard.
- After reflecting the third cannonball back to him, get closer until you're about to hit Pirate Darkbeard normally and then charge, this will maximize the amount of hits (and damage) you'll deal to him.
- Should you miss the timing and the final cannonball stuns you, charge immediately. The cannonballs cannot be dodged and have high knockback, meaning you have to move fast if you want to attack Pirate Darkbeard.
- After reflecting the third cannonball back to him, get closer until you're about to hit Pirate Darkbeard normally and then charge, this will maximize the amount of hits (and damage) you'll deal to him.
- Pirate Darkbeard has the highest defense out of all bosses in-game, being a high 40, this is most likely to compensate for the possible amount of damage you can deal to him while he is stunned and using Assault Boost.
